IBPS CLERK : Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts IBPS Clerk Exam for recruitment of candidates for Clerical cadre post in public sector banks in India.IBPS Clerk Exam is conducted in two phases – preliminary and mains. Around 30 lakh students appear for the exam every year. Number of seats depends on the number of vacancies, in 2016 it was approximately 19789.

The structure of the Examinations which will be conducted online are as follows:

Mitramguru IBPS clerk

• Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.
• Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for online main examination.

Mitramguru IBPS clerk- mains exam
• The above tests except the Tests of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.
• Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary and Main examination)

1. There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. 2. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. 3. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.


IBPS PO: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts IBPS PO for recruitment of candidates for Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees post in public sector banks in India.IBPS PO Exam is conducted in three phases – preliminary, mains and interview. Around 8 lakh students appear for IBPS PO Exam every year and seats change according to vacancies available. In 2017 there were approximately 3247 vacancies.

• IBPS PO Exam is conducted in three phases: Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Interview Process. It is mandatory for a candidate to clear each level of examination to get selected to the post of Probationary Officer in the various Public Sector Banks.

1. It is an online examination.
2. Candidates are allocated a total duration of 1 hour to complete the exam.
3. It consists of 3 sections with a total of 100 questions and maximum score of 100 marks.
4. There is negative marking and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer attempted by a candidate.
5. It is necessary to clear the cut-off in all 3 sections to qualify for the IBPS PO Main exam

1. Descriptive Paper : IBPS introduced Descriptive Paper in its Mains Examination where candidates will be judged on their written skills. The candidates will have to write an essay and a letter which would constitute of 25 marks and have to be completed in a time span of 30 minutes.
2. The overall time allotted for IBPS PO Mains Exam is 180 minutes.
Mitramguru IBPS PO Exam
• PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS : 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in both Preliminary and Mains Exam.
• There will be no deduction Candidates of marks for a question left blank/unattempted by a candidate.

• IBPS PO INTERVIEW : Candidates who qualify the Mains Exam are finally called for the Interview Process by IBPS. The Interview Process will constitute of 100 marks and the minimum marks for qualifying this round is 40% which is reduced to 35% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories.

• FINAL SELECTION : The final selection of the candidate is made by taking into consideration the cumulative score of Mains Exam and the interview process.

1. The weightage of both these phases of examination will be in the ratio 80:20 respectively.
2. A merit list will be generated after the Interview Process . Candidates who make it to the list will thus be selected.
